Trick or Treat

Its carving time...William drew the face

Spooky snacks
Halloween
Our Life Group got together for a potluck prior to trick or treating.
Our church really promotes Life Group gathering together and having games and candy for prizes as a way to meet more people in the community.
It was a huge success. We had 6 games and a table with nachos and water.
My favorite comments of the night:
"seriously- this is FREE"
"the nachos are real and it's real warm cheese"
Nothing but the best for neighbors!

We have a FIVE year old

Howdy Partners- there is a FIVE year old riding around!
William wanted a "Cowboy" birthday party and that is just what he had. We thought having it mid-morning we would be able to beat the heat. YIKES- it was close to 90 degrees by noon. Lots of liquids for these cowboys.

Saturday Morning FUN

Annabel is slowly getting the hang of her balance bike. However, she would rather just get pushed and enjoy the ride. Silly girl!

A Break from the Heat

On Saturday we wanted to check out Canyon Lake. We thought "let's cool off from this heat and try out the lake." HA It was warm, BUT overcast. Much to our surprise we did get rain and it chased us home a bit sooner. Texas is in desperate need for rain so it was welcomed! We still enjoyed the outing. It was still nice to get away and check out something new for us.

Annabel ready for the water and rock collecting.

Check out the clouds

The water level is so low that the once we got to the water edge it was super rocky making it a challenge walking in the water. That did not stop us! The water was warm and we all had fun splashing!

Annual Cow Weekend

For the past FOURTEEN years we have carved a weekend away. It takes lots of emails to figure out a weekend what works for us all. Can you believe it takes us about 6 months to find a weekend that works ?! It is ALL or none. We work around new babies, summer, family and work obligations. It takes a team to make this work. Now that we all have 2 plus kids we have to often call in re-enforcements (aka grandparents) to help with the kids. We gather Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon.
This year we did splurge and spent the day at a spa in Korea town. Of course, we HAD to eat at IN-and-OUT on Sunset Blvd.
YUMMY

Meet the Teacher/First Day of School

Mrs. Clark

Hard to tell in this photo, but Annabel was really excited about school. Days prior to school starting, they had "Meet the Teacher". This was perfect for Annabel since she tends to be shy.

William had a great day!

Annabel SO excited for her first day! Can you tell her favorite color is purple?
Upon reaching the hallway to her class, she dropped her backpack and makes a bee line for her class. I have to chase her down and ASK for a hug and kiss. She had a great first day!
