Hanging out with Timothy

Grammy and Timothy came to play to for the week. Uncle Brian and Auntie Amber were busy moving into their NEW home so Timothy came to play. We had a blast and enjoyed the snow. It snowed so much while Grammy and Timothy were here that that got snowed in for 2 extra days.

Before heading to Playgroup William had swimming lessons.

Someone else loves the water

Timothy was able to join us for Playgroup at the mall to see Santa and have lunch. Boy was Santa surprised to have 6 toddlers around him. We were kind enough to not add the 5 babies. So hard to get everyone looking at the camera. This was the best we could do.

YUMMY Apple cider- or should I say colored water??

The boys had so much energy after dessert that we headed outside to burn off some energy before bedtime. We bundled up and headed outside for a snowball fight.

Look OUT!

The Next morning ...
MORE snow
Snow continued to fall so we had to shovel again!

Taking a break for to toss some snowballs

Oh- this is hard work- now time to rest
Warming up
The boys had enough of the snow so we headed inside. We warmed up with warm apple cider, letter cookies and watched a show. (aka- the Veggietales)

Enjoying a cup of warm cider, a snack and memorized by the TV. I sure hope we did not start any bad habits while Timothy was here. :) (shows, sweets, apple cider) We sure had a blast and were glad to have our cousin to play in the snow with.
Thanks Grammy and Timothy for coming to play with us. What fun we had! What memories we made!

Field Trip

At school this month the students had been asked to bring in canned food for a local food bank-Evelyn Mount. At the conclusion of our collection, we went to a local grocery store and had the children choose food they wanted to purchase for the food bank. As a family we have spent a lot of time talking to William about the importance of helping others. This was just one of the many ways we have showed him hands on. When I asked William what food items he wanted to purchase, he said "I think they would like steak, potatoes, salmon, broccoli and for dessert a birthday cake for Jesus." I told him those were great ideas. I steared him towards canned and boxed food instead. We did purchase a cake mix and frosting. He got a kick out of scanning the food and then paying for it.

Playdate

We had our good friends Janai, Preston and Lola over to play after being cooped up for a couple of days due to snow. It was so nice to play, relax and have adult contact.

A Visit with Santa

Dear Santa,

I have been a good boy this year. I am a great big brother and help my Mommy and Daddy around the house. This year I would like a red car, a dinosaur book and Thomas tracks. My sister, Annabel has also been a good girl. She is just a baby so she can't talk. She would like a truck (so she does not play with mine), a doll and a toy that she can push. Don't forget we will be staying at my Grammy and Pappa's house in California. I will leave you some yummy cookies and milk and carrots for the reindeer.

Love,

William

Today we headed out to the mall to see Santa.

I did a little bribing with William so I was sure to get at least one child smiling. Amazing what the kid will do for a M&M.

Annabel not sure what to think. She is such a Mamma's girl!

Merry Christmas!

Gingerbread Houses

Gingerbread Houses in the making

Our Good friends, Dani and Averi hosted a Gingerbread house decorating party. Dani was brave to host 6 toddler, 6 mommies and 6 babies to this event.

The supplies- houses pieces, frosting, and candy

The walls and roof are up. Time to break for pizza lunch so the "glue" can dry.

William is so proud of his house. He placed the candy himself. I think he did a fantastic job!

Thanks Dani and Averi for a FUN FILLED morning.
